Adele van Heerden is an artist living and working in Cape Town. She graduated from the Ruth Prowse School of Art in 2010 and now works full time from her Studio. She not only paints and illustrates but also facilitates and manages the “Black and Yellow” series of exhibitions hosted by Studio 41.
Her work deals with culture, its symbolism and archetypes. Intimate Portraits, Wildlife and Anatomy are often combined with the Doily and Lace motif. Her use of Oils, Pens and Inks are never conventional as she strives to use and combine her media in unexpected ways.
